DIY Halloween Costumes Inspiration

It’s amazing how many costumes you could make with just some of the stuff you already own, a bit of cardboard and glue. I don’t know if you saw American Apparel‘s Halloween Costumes this year but they are rather neat. And guess what, you can do them yourself.

DIY Flamingo Costume

Wear a pink top, pink leggings and a couple of pink and white feather boas and you’re almost done. To finish the costume paint a beak and an eye on one of your hands. Remember only to eat cretaceous or pink martini to keep your colour fresh.

Super Speedy Kite Costume

If you don’t want to buy something you’ll wear just for an evening using clothes you would actually wear such as a shirt and leggings and accessorizing with painted cardboard might just be the thing for you.

A Halloween Classic: The Flintstones

I always wonder how come Halloween cotumes are always so skin showing when the weather asks for sweaters and coats. In case you’ll be joining an indoor party in a very warm house and you want to use leftover fabrics only try these Pebbles and Bam Bam costumes.

Purple Squid Costume

This is one of my favourite costumes in AA’s idea kit this year. Wear an oversized purple jumper a see through maxi skirt or slip and attach pink ribbons to your arms. Craft the hat out of cardboard or polystyrene and spray paint it.

DIY superhero costume

The superhero costume is a classic. You can make it nerdy, scary, sexy, whatever your mood is. Plus, you can use clothes you already own, such as leggings and a tank top and sew a 5 minutes cape. For the accessories felt is the best.
