My New Maxi Skirt
Maybe you remember my maxi dress inspiration post/brainstorming the other day. I was saying then how maxi skirts were never on my sewing list and how that changed when Lizz from A Good Wardrobe accepted to do a project together.
The project was to sew a piece of clothing we would “never” wear. Make it work.

We chose maxis and the challenge was not only making a maxi skirt, but sewing one we’d actually wear. More than once ideally ;)

I chose a lightweight fabric that I lined in chiffon. The waist is a wide knit fabric tube. This skirt can be worn as a maternity dress, and as a high-waisted skirt.
The dress is bike proof :D but I will have to make two lateral slits in the lining for it to be really comfortable to climb stairs or tie shoelaces :)
