Sewing Course

Welcome to the Sky Turtle sewing and pattern making course.

You’re free to join at any time, read the classes whenever it fits you best and write back with questions and ideas about how to make this course more useful for you.

This is not your ordinary sewing course. I am self taught and designing as we speak a new method to teach sewing:  hands on. I think you are a much better sewist than you think you are. Most of us are. All you need to do is want to sew and start practicing. You will get better and better every time you sew something new.

This year I took as a personal challenge to teach myself pattern making, so this course will not only feature sewing basics, tips and step by step tutorials, but also lessons on pattern making.

The purpose of this course is to teach you to create any garment you wish, from idea, sketch to drafting the pattern and sewing it yourself.

    My next challenge – to draft my own very personal block pattern – and here you are giving instructions on how to do this! How wonderful and thank you so much. I will be following your lessons very keenly and with pencil in hand.
