Sewing Inspiration: The Little Black Skirt
There are few garments that are as versatile and as unanimously loves as the little black dress. From Coco Chanel’s puffy black dresses, to the famous Givenchy dress Audrey Hepburn wears in Breakfast at TIffany’s, to Sophia Loren‘s spagetti strapped version and a the generously low cut Marilyn Monroe versions. The little black dress is an untouchable wardrobe staple.
With so much fame and so much talk around it, it’s no surprise it’s younger cousin, the little black skirt is getting almost no attention. But it should: it’s surprisingly versatile, understated and fun :)
(Not to mention super easy to sew.)

These are some ideas for taking winter into spring.
Do you own a little black skirt? What about a little black dress? What’s your favourite cut?

I love pencil skirts and princess seam skirts. Just made Paco Peralta´s apron skirt soon to share on my blog. I find them flattering. But also love A-line. Unfortunately I don´t look nice in circle skirts as I have short legs. But they are very nice too.
