This is the tale of the dress that could have been fabulous, but it will never be worn, because the seamstress chosed the wrong fabric for this pattern.
This is a june 2008 Burda pattern I used, and this is how the dress should have looked like:
And this is my dress:
The problem: the fabric is to stiff for this pattern so it doesn’t fall the right way.
Oh, please don’t write it off straight away! It’s still a pretty dress, just different from what you expected. I think it’s cute. 🙂

Hi! I was looking around your blog and saw this post. I know it rather late being October, but if your nice dress is still hanging in your closet and you don’t know what to do with it, try to shirr the bottom with elastic and make a bubble skirt. They love stiff fabrics that make them puff!
