The Cardigans, The Garments, not the Band
I was browsing the hobbies section at the library the other day (do you also borrow craft books instead of buying them?) when I found this book. For a second or two I almost took the challenge of making on e of these beauties. And then I realized I would probably finish it in time to give it as a gift to my one of future my grandchildren.
The sad truth is I am not a knitter. As much as I’d like the idea of making a sweater or one of these beautiful cardigans from Louisa Harding’s book, I don’t see it happening very soon. Yet I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful the garments underneath the cardigans look. The mix of knitted and silky, soft textures and colours. It’s very feminine.

It makes me think I need a pair of velvet pants, a silk shirt and a circle skirt in my wardrobe. Oh, and a couple chunky medium cardigans. Handmade if possible.
What about you? Do you also knit? Do you buy handmade knits?
Have a good week!

I wish I was a knitter!!! …actually, I need another crafty hobby like a need a hole in my head lol. The idea of being able to knit my own sweaters is awesome, especially because I literally live in sweaters, but I think I should stick to sewing for now ;)

:)) Totally with you on this one.
I am very tempted to add “knit a sweater” to my list of life goals, but I will try to stay away from it for now. I think I could maybe knit a headband. So 80s :)

I began knitting before sewing, and I love it! It still takes ages to finish projects, but that’s because I don’t dedicate enough time to them.

Can you knit and watch dvds at the same time? I think it’s so funny when knitting books say that. I could stab myself!
