If you’re in Barcelona this weekend, drop by the Ciutadella Park this Friday at 7 pm because we’re having an Etsy Meetup. And free workshops; and food :)
I will be holding a yoyo making workshop. If you didn’t make yoyos before, you’ll be surprised to see how easy it is. And you can then use it to decorate your tees, skirts, headbands, bags or even make earrings out of them. If you’ve made them before, join me – it will be fun (and I won’t have to go through the embarrassment of being the only workshop participant :))
What to bring:
- needle and thread
- a t-shirt, a skirt, a blouse, a headband, a scrunchie, canvas shoes or whatever you’d like to use your fabric yoyos on
- a pencil to trace the pattern onto the fabric
- a pair of scissors
- lots of fabric remnants, ready to be recycled (some already cut for making yoyos, some not)
- some yoyo patterns of different sized.
- candy! :D
Making heart-shaped yoyos! I never made them before so we’re all going to try out luck at making them live (and together). And in the park :)
You think you’ll drop by?
You can find more info (in Spanish) about what’s happening this Friday here: http://kimonozapatitos.blogspot.com/2011/06/lugar-de-encuentro-como-llegar-10-de.html
Later edit: The meeting and workshop are postponed for next Friday – it’s raining cats and dogs in Barcelona today.
