Italian, witty, fierce and funny, Sophia Loren was never just an actress, she was and still is an icon of style and glamour.
Like many women of her era, Sophia Loren, wore lots of full skirts with short fitted tops. Her signature style, however, remains the generous cleavage and the super slim waistline.
Sophia Loren wore tucked in tops that exposed her shoulders and neck, almost always a belt and flowery a-line or half circle skirts.
The long, wavy hair, the well defined eyes and brows and the deep scoop neck: so Sophia.
To replicate this look you can layer a half circle wool skirt over a white or cream circle skirt in the same length or slightly longer. For the top part wear a scoop neck tee or a sweater with a generous cleavage. Cinch your waist with a belt in a vibrant colour, like Sophia Loren would.
One couldn’t try to emulate a true Sophia Loren outfit if they wouldn’t include formal dresses.
With spagetti or halter straps, a big cleavage, in a racy shade of red. Add a sparkly necklace and big clip earrings to finish your look.
If I would be to choose one piece of clothing from Sophia Loren’t style that would be the peasant scoop neck top. It’s very feminine, layer-able and easy to make.
